Can donations be made to the British Motor Sports Training Trust?

Yes, donations from individuals and organisations are always welcome and should be submitted via the Trust General Secretary. Collections made at Club Awards Dinners or similar Social Functions are increasingly being received, and donations in memory of deceased ex-competitors or officials are regularly received, as are one-off donations by current competitors whose Protest or Appeal Fees are returned by the Clerk of the Course and Stewards of the Meeting respectively. Occasionally, some bequests are received from the Estate of former competitors and officials too. Every donation received benefits the Trust directly, and enables further safety, training and support grants to be undertaken. Over recent years, the Trust has also benefitted from charitable donations made by the Board of the Royal Automobile Club Motor Sports Association Limited when circumstances have allowed.

The Trust continues its charitable work through careful stewardship of its existing resources and, despite the recent increased demand on their available resources as a result of new safety and training initiatives, as far as possible remains satisfied that existing finances can accommodate such a change in the short to medium term without undue difficulty.
